Safety Award Program recognizes outstanding safety achievements within the grain handling industry
February 27, 2013 – Louisville, KY – Halverson Company today announced that it was recognized at the GEAPS Exchange for its commitment to safety and creating an accident free work environment. Each year, companies within the grain handling industry report time lost due to work related injury or illness and GEAPS believes that companies with outstanding safety records should be commended. Since 1970, they have awarded companies that go the entire calendar year without any lost time with the Safety Recognition Award.
“We’d like to congratulate Halverson Company on its excellent work,” said Jim Jundt, International First Vice President of GEAPS, speaking to safety award recipients. “Combined, these facilities have completed over 14 million personnel hours without a lost-time injury or illness. Remarkable!”
“It’s always an honor to be recognized for our safety program, which is paramount to everything that Halverson stands for,” said Steve Halverson, CEO of Halverson Company. “Our hope is to be a recipient every year by preventing and avoiding all accidents onsite.”
This is the second year in a row that Halverson Company has been recognized for its safety program, having received the award at the GEAPS Exchange 2011 along with this year’s 2012 award.
