A History of Reliability
Halverson Company is one of the oldest and most reputable design/build construction companies specializing in agricultural ingredient processing facilities throughout the intermountain west.
Since 1912, Halverson has been engaged in the milling business.
They are now in their fourth generation.
The Legacy Begins
The company was founded in 1912 when John E. Halverson a gifted machinist started his own business. He reconditioned the metal rolls that ground wheat into flour serving the flourmill industry west of the Mississippi.
His son, Lionel John Halverson, expanded the business with the design and construction of grain processing facilities in the Intermountain area. Lionel‘s son John L. became a key employee with his degree in mechanical engineering. He developed expertise in conveying and processing equipment. His proficiency with products such as bucket elevators, screw conveyers, and conveyers to meter, extrude and blend for food and feed processing and fertilizer and mining have positioned him as a regional expert in bulk handling and processing equipment.
In 1979 they began the industrial scale division and in 1991, they sold the original corrugating machine business as the market moved away from the Intermountain area to very large companies mostly in the Midwest.
Stephen Halverson became president in April of 2001.
Steve has diversified and grown the business with the addition of structural steel fabrication. They have invested in the facilities, equipment and people and have established themselves as reliable providers for large structural steel projects.
Steve‘s primary focus is to raise the level of professionalism and capability.
Since 2001, Halverson Company has grown over 200%.
They are poised for continuing this growth over the next few years.
